There are some lovely weathered buildings on Pender Island. They speak of another time, of promises made and broken, of dreams yet to come.

I am so happy to have my piece Broken Promises. The Politician's Armour. After the Election, included in the Salt Spring National Art Prize Parallel Show at ArtSpring in Ganges, Salt Spring Island. I was lucky enough to be able to go and see this show last week and it is a beautiful, vibrant show. Gorgeous work, artfully hung in a lovely space.

While visiting my friend, Sarah, in Dorset we took a day to revisit our childhood haunts in Southampton. We both loved the art gallery and that was our first stop. We reveled in the beauty of The Perseus Series by Edward Burne Jones, a favourite of our teenage selves. Still looking stunning in its own wood paneled room. What memories lie here.

I am thrilled to have an image of one of my pieces appear in a paper written by Arnaud Quertinmont, Department Egypte/Proche-Orient Conservateur at Musee royal de Mariemont in Morlanwelz, Belgium. This paper was written to accompany an exhibit currently showing at the museum called De Lin et De Laine. Textiles Egyptiens Du 1er Millenaire. It highlights coptic textiles from the museum's collection.
