Immerse yourself in the limitless world of creativity at Current Threads2024, a multi-media surface design art exhibition by Surface Design Association BC + Yukon. Located at the prestigious Pat Martin Bates Gallery in Victoria, B.C., from March 9 to March 28, 2024, the show features an array of fiber and textile art. Each piece, from intricate wall hangings to sculptural wonders, tells a compelling tale. With the participating artists being members of the International Surface Design Association, the exhibition is a testament to their passion and skill. The gallery operates from Tuesday to Sunday, noon to 5 pm, with a special reception on March 23. The Sooke Fine Arts Show provides the opportunity for the finest artists from Vancouver Island and BC’s coastal islands to showcase and sell their work each summer. The Show is Vancouver Island’s longest-running juried fine art show. It will celebrate its 37th anniversary in 2023.

A cultural exchange between the Salt Spring Arts Council, representing artists from the Southern Gulf Islands, and the San Juan Islands Museum of Art, representing artists from the San Juan Islands.
