Salome's Dance

From the series Myths and Legends, which explores textile stories using a textile mosaic technique. This piece tells the story of Salome's dance of the seven veils and her request for the head of John the Baptist as revenge for him spurning her, as told by Aubrey Beardsley. The bird skull was found on Pender Island. 16" x 24".
